The day long excursion out to the Farallone Islands for
Wild in California
The two presenters that are hosting this documentary for the BBC are:
Ben Fogle, travel writer, presenter and adventurer
Kate Humble, UK television presenter, specializing in wildlife or science programs
Their plan was to chat on camera with David on the way out to the Farallones and then wait for a shark attack, while David narrated the activity.
Now, most of us know that nature is not like ©Disneyland. You just don't pay for your "E" ticket and expect a big, exciting shark attack. For those of us who are old enough to remember, Disneyland used to have price structured tickets. A, B, C, D and E. The "E" ticket was the most coveted, the most expensive and the most exciting rides. My grandparents used to blackmail me for the "E" ticket. "If you are a good girl...." Well, as it turns out, if this shark attack were a Disneyland ride, it would of been a quadruple E ticket. Unbelieveable. Especially, since the Salty Lady motored up and only waited a very short time. Pictures cannot really do justice to the experience. Try to imagine the saltiness of the ocean air, the chilly wind on your face, the brisk air piercing your clothes, the splash of the water, the constant rocking of the boat, the stench that permeates off the islands that is so strong it is akin to a slap in the face. Due to the explicit bloodiness of these photos, we are only posting a few.
